We are Building!

After 15 years of dreams (& nightmares) it is finally happening! Wild Hibiscus Flower Company, Gingle Bells Gin, Kurrajong Australian Native Foods and Calafea Horse Oil are finally moving the entire operations up to 'The Farm'.

My farm is 80 acres of beautiful fertile land at Kurrajong Heights just 65km from the centre of Sydney on the edge of the Blue Mountains. I have lived here for the last 20 something years. I have planted more than 2,000 native finger lime trees over the last 15+ years are at 550m above sea level and we have a lookout directly across from our front gate where on a clear day you can see the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I wanted to share the experiences good, bad and terrible of building a world class food factory, distillery and warehouse on a rural property. This is the biggest project I have ever and will ever attempt. And I hope it doesn't kill me... I have to risk absolutely EVERYTHING on this build. Including the farm which is also where I live and the project itself. The business and all its assets... My lively hood - everything. So lets see if we can get it done or if we fuck it all up!

Some pics to get this started:

You are most welcome to comment and ask questions below. As at September 2024 this project is entirely self funded with savings from the last 3 years of business :)

And getting machines endlessly stuck - Big Heavy things that weigh more than a truck - and breaking them...

And suffering floods and windstorms... Seeing tens of thousands of dollars and weeks of work smashed, destroyed and having to start all over again...

So sign up and follow along it is sure to be an adventure. And maybe just maybe we might get something built!

Cheers lee
